Robust data It is vital that the Scottish Government ensures it has robust data in place to support the decisions it makes in respect of the use of public funds and to enable the outcomes of its policy decisions to be planned for and evaluated.
Recognising the opportunities presented by digital healthcare solutions, the Committee asks— 1 • What work is progressing to ensure that planned and developing digital innovations receive sufficient funding to deliver efficiencies and increase productivity and patient outcomes within the NHS in Scotland?
I am interested, though, in hearing your perspectives on the essence of this. How do you develop the funding partnerships that allow you to undertake more longer-term work in your projects?
The second factor is a short-term approach to funding and late provision of funds to NHS boards, creating an additional barrier to recruitment and workforce planning.
