As the then Deputy Minister for Justice, I introduced the time out centre, which took 500 women out of short-term sentences to treat drug problems, which is exactly what Mary Scanlon advocated. We need to consider that carefully.

If teacher numbers were held constant as the school population fell, that would allow class sizes to be reduced. Like Mary Mulligan, I am concerned about the effects of increasing population and school rolls in my constituency.
