(S2O-2671) Eurojust was established in 2002 to improve investigation and prosecution of serious cross-border crime in EU member states by co-ordinating investigations and facilitating mutual legal assistance and extradition. It consists of a prosecutor from each of the 25 member states; Scotland is represented by a deputy prosecutor from the Crown Office.
