I am not saying that Shelter always agrees with me—sometimes it gets things wrong and sometimes it gets things right—but on this occasion I thought that Shelter had a case and we listened to that.
It would seem that there is no downside to the proposal and that there could be an upside. When committees get properly organised, the proposal would allow more time for post-legislative scrutiny, debates on reports and so on.
