The Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) support the age of self-referral as set out in the Bill, "under 16 statutory and non-statutory child protection processes should be used in order to identify and deliver any required support.ivLetter from Scottish Children's Reporter Administration to the Health and Sport Committee - 3 June 2020 " They indicated if a child presents to a health board, police and social work are required to:
discuss the case in an interagency referral discussion, or IRD
implement a plan to keep the child safe
follow child protection processes, and
consider whether a referral for statutory intervention through the Children’s Hearing System is required.
