As many members who represent rural areas will be aware, the availability of services locally is often a key indicator of the health and well-being of rural communities. The closure of a bank, a shop or a post office can often be seen as a major threat to that community's future.

I believe that that is unreasonably short, given that key people reasonably take holidays of 14 days or longer. I look forward to hearing the minister's reasons for making the time scale so short.I move amendment 116.
