To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to Her Majesty’s Government regarding increasing assistance to low-income families and benefit claimants in order to meet the costs of a basic funeral.
This includes those released following an appealagainst conviction and/or sentence. The objectives of voluntary assistance aim toprovide a range of supportive services to assist in the reintegration of an ex-prisonerinto the community.
