As well as the jobs that Ms McAlpine mentioned, in the past few weeks we have seen the loss of more than 40 jobs at Interflora in Dumfries, and statistics released by United Kingdom ministers to my colleague Russell Brown MP suggest that more than 2,000 private sector jobs have been lost in Dumfries and Galloway since 2010.
