In the Christian calendar, we are at present celebrating the time of Advent—a time of waiting for Christmas. It may seem rather odd for people to celebrate a time of waiting.
There will be some time in April when we may be able to invite written responses and, as our work load becomes clearer, we may find time either to have an extra meeting or to fit in oral evidence, if there is space, in that period.

The Presiding Officer has announced, through the business bulletin, that Wednesday 12 May to Friday 14 May, and Monday 17 May to Friday 21 May should be days on which the office of the clerk is open.
The submission has been sent to every MSP, so the minister can access an e-mail copy of it. He may wish to pass it on to the Lord Advocate and the Solicitor General.
We should first have it clarified whether or not there has been an error. There may have been discussions already and there may be good reasons why the Scottish Parliament is not mentioned.
