I think that we all appreciate that and welcome your reflections on the third sector organisations that you are working with. However, I will not put words in Mary Fee’s mouth. Thank you, convener.
The sector is very supportive of the aims that are set out in the bill regarding gender and the requirement to appoint the best-qualified candidate. As Mary Senior said, we have worked hard—successfully—over the past few years to have more balanced gender representation on our governing bodies.
