I suspect that many victims do not realise that. However, a statement may not reach the Parole Board until many years after the crime, and the victim may be able to give a lot of other relevant information at that stage.
There is also a significant issue about the type of fish that may be supported under those regulations; the enlargement of the EU may add new types of fish that are capable of receiving support.
I am interested in the consultation prior to the bill, particularly with the constituent authorities. The authorities may well be used to moneys occasionally being returned to them, but the bill would affect that.
