. • AOB and date of next meeting. th CPG meeting No.2: 19 November 2024 (online) MSPs present: 2 Non-MSPs present: 27 Main subjects discussed: Apologies and welcome • Presentation by Ms Reem Alsalem, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls, in which she shared her findings and recommendations on the thematic report, which she undertook for the United Council to the UN Nations on Sexual Exploitation in the Context of Prostitution, which is linked to violence to women and girls. • There was an opportunity for questions from the group . • Parliamentary and CPG updates from the MSPs present. • AOB and date of the next meeting. 2 th CPG meeting No.3: 18 March 2025 (online) MSPs present: 3 Non-MSPs present: 22 Main subjects discussed: • Apologies and welcome. • The team from Nordic Model Now (NMN) presented their published research findings, The Social and Economic Costs of prostitution and other forms of Sexual Exploitation: The Case for Investing in Equality, demonstrating that the profits from prostitution were overshadowed considerably by the costs to women and society. • There was an opportunity for questions from the group. • Parliamentary and CPG updates were given from the MSPs present • Maren Schroeder gave an update on Ash Regan’s prospective member's Bill and Rhoda Grant said she had sponsored Jacci Stoyle and Sasha Rakoff for the Garden Room Display area to lobby for the Bill. • AOB and date of the next meeting.
