Construction and procurement of ferry vessels in Scotland - Alternative options for delivery of new vessels
The Committee therefore recommends that the Scottish Government commission a review of vessel specifications to ensure that future design is appropriate to meet the needs of the network and, if necessary and in keeping with the objective of securing their delivery as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, to update those specifications in line with any relevant technical developments that may have occurred in the intervening period.
