Proposed future business At its next meeting, on 23 January, the Committee will take evidence on the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman's annual report and accounts 2017-18 and will also consider subordinate legislation.
Section 1(3) enables the Scottish Ministers, by regulations, to amend the new Act (i.e. the Bill, if enacted) to take account of amending or additional protocols to the Charter that have been signed by the United Kingdom.
Amendment 34 goes further and sets out that the Government would have to lay draft regulations that would be brought before the Scottish Parliament via a pre-laying procedure.
