Supported by: Kenneth Gibson* *S5M-22582 Lewis Macdonald: Aberdeen FC's #StillStandingFree Campaign Success—That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen FC and AFC Community Trust (AFCCT) on the #StillStandingFree campaign, which, in partnership with CFINE, made 2,600 food deliveries to more than 12,000 people in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, including 7,000 children, over 160 days between March and August 2020; commends the work of the calls team, comprising Club and Trust staff, players, former players and volunteers, who spoke to more than 15,000 fans to check on their welfare and help reduce feelings of isolation; thanks the Club's fans and directors for their generosity in raising more than £500,000 for AFCCT to help deliver a legacy food initiative, support existing health and education programmes and fund the MINDSET programme, which has been designed to build confidence and resilience and provide mental health support for young people; welcomes the announcement of a celebratory family fun day at Cormack Park and homecoming game at Pittodrie to recognise all of the key workers who contributed in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to thank all who have supported #StillStandingFree, and looks forward to future Club and Community Trust campaigns to boost pride and passion for Aberdeen and to support vulnerable individuals across the communities of the north east.
