*S6M-20679 Kevin Stewart: Welcoming Aberdeen DFN Project Search Recruitment —That the Parliament welcomes the news that recruitment has opened at the University of Aberdeen for the DFN Project SEARCH's 2026-27 internship programme; notes that the award-winning, year-long employability initiative offers life-changing opportunities to 12 young people aged 16 to 24 in the north east of Scotland, who have learning disabilities or are on the autism spectrum; understands that, as well as real-life work experience, the scheme offers City & Guilds qualifications and tailored support designed to help participants move into sustained paid employment; further understands that an open day will be held on 5 February 2026, allowing visitors the chance to meet the team and access help with the application process; notes that applications are open until 16 March 2026 and final interviews are scheduled for 16 April 2026; believes that this programme will help participants gain real experience, build valuable life skills and take the next step towards a sustainable future; congratulates all those involved on their efforts in making these opportunities available, and hopes that the chosen participants thrive from the skills and knowledge that they gain from being in the scheme.
