It also leaves me, as a retired teacher of history and modern studies, to ask who runs the country and the local authority. I go back to a famous programme that I used to recommend to my pupils: "Yes, Minister" was about who runs the country.There is no lack of support.

The Scottish Government hosted a meeting of interested parties on Tuesday, in an attempt to be of assistance in assembling a rescue package, which of course depends on a number of agreements, particularly from Skykon financiers, and on the financial stability of the rest of the group.
