I have a point to make about the revised definition of the start date of a trial. Dates and time limits are at the heart of the Scottish criminal legal system.

To ask the Scottish Executive how many properties are available for let as holiday homes on a commercial basis, for 140 days or more per year, in each local authority area.
How would you advise us to try to collect the information and keep it up to date? Witnesses spoke in Somali. Go door to door to ask everyone if they have done it.
It is interesting language to use in the circumstances. If it is considered that dates are important enough to be endorsed by Parliament, then the same should be true for amended dates.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it plans to change the discretionary powers available to councils in respect of council tax discounts for holiday homes. I refer the member to the answer given to question S1W-23476.
