We have had sight of the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s updated code of practice, but it is for United Kingdom Government ministers to publish that, and we await that happening.
It is open to an education authority to raise a concern they might have about the post code allocation for a school with the Post Office and enquire whether the post code could be changed to that of an adjacent post code area.

Russell Findlay and others have asked the First Minister about that plan, but he refused to give any answers. The ministerial code says that ministers must be open and transparent with the public and the Parliament.
Detailed work is progressing on a behaviour code, robust impact assessments and a process for suspension, with enabling secondary legislation due to be laid before the Parliament on 4 December.
The commission issues guidance to councils and public bodies and adjudicates on alleged contraventions of the codes that are referred to it by the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland.
