There is a concern that, on the day that warrant sales are abolished, creditors will look for other methods of enforcement. The power of the banks especially concerns me. In cases where people have bank accounts, banks are first in the queue to recover debt; and if a bank account is frozen, there is no upper limit on what the bank can take.

Petition by Pat Rafferty on behalf of Unite calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to protect the future of the taxi trade by:
providing financial support to taxi drivers;
setting up a national stakeholder group with trade union driver representatives; and
reviewing low emission standards and implementation dates

Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Trade Bill
This Bill would apply in the following 3 circumstances:
where any part of those trade agreements requires changes to domestic legislation and these changes are not made by exit day;
to ensure the trade agreements work outside the original EU context, adjustments may need to be agreed, and that may require a change to UK law; and
to ensure the agreements remain operable and up to date beyond exit day, and that where technical changes to the agreement are necessary, these can be implemented.
