To ask the Scottish Government how it ensures that the use of prophylactic antibiotics in aquaculture does not impact on (a) human health, (b) the environment and (c) wild salmon and trout. The risk that any veterinary medicine might pose to human health or the environment is considered by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate during the authorisation process for new medicines.

Section 1(1) of the Bill provides a general definition of what a non-surgical procedure is, that is a procedure that:
pierces or penetrates a person’s skin, including by means of a needle, chemical, medicine, heat, cold, light, laser, sound or electricity; and

Alternative pathways to primary care - Single electronic patient record
This would release capacity for both community pharmacists (improved communication) and in general practice (reduced time spent on medicines reconciliation). Pharmacy teams in all settings would require read/write access to this record to allow the maximum positive impact.
