I am not sure that the reason is good enough for the thousands up and down the country who have to go to food banks. I am not sure that it is good enough for the 100,000 additional children who will suffer in poverty because of the austerity measures, as the Child Poverty Action Group has described.

Yes, and built up the levels of the river banks round about the site. As we developed the site, a lot of the excess material was used to strengthen the river banks instead of being taken off site.
