Is the bill a stepping stone towards achieving that end, or should it be amended to ensure that it applies Scotland-wide? I do not care how you get there, as long as you get there.
It might be worth talking to ministers privately about it and seeing what can be done to improve the prospects of getting this institute for Scotland. It would be very valuable and relevant.
What we have in this country is a justice system in which many of the practices are out of date and many of the agencies, departments and organisations responsible do not co-ordinate their activities well enough. The laws and provisions that govern the system require modernisation.
If we have the information-sharing arrangements right, that is much more likely to happen. The getting it right team is already supporting pathfinder activity in the Highlands, as well as domestic abuse activity, which I mentioned.
That is proving to be financially beneficial to remote rural communities. Would you approve of those activities above the extension of skiing activities?
