In 2009 in the National Trust for Scotland, there was no strategic plan and finance was disbursed on a purely needs-must basis—sometimes by raiding the piggy-bank. It was perfectly clear that the trust would not be sustainable if it continued in that fashion.

However, that is in conjunction with behavioural therapy, with the aim of reaching a tobacco cessation date. That is far more of a pathway to quitting any use of tobacco, whereas such a pathway is less in place for e-cigarette use.
I hope that, once we get past the landmark date in September, regardless of the outcome, parties across the chamber will start to work much more closely together for communities and for Scotland.
Although we do not have a specific completion date, we hope that a new place standard will be agreed by the end of this year and that it can then be rolled out to local authority colleagues.
