We are working closely with Registers of Scotland, and with the Scottish Government as revenue Scotland is being set up, to ensure that we co-ordinate our changes with the introduction of the new land and buildings transaction tax.
We have experience in areas of importance to the people of Scotland; we have identified priority policy areas in our European action plan; and our desk offices in the Brussels office are visible in the European institutions and responsible for co-ordinating EU business across all Scottish Government portfolios.
In the past, our representation from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and this committee has been slightly unco-ordinated in that regard. We need stronger mechanisms for reporting back.
For example, at the start of the session, the Cabinet Secretary's portfolio relating to islands was the cross government co-ordination on islands, the islands bond and carbon-neutral islands policy areas.

As I have explained, it is combined for practical reasons, because it helps local authorities to be able to use the funding in a sensible and co-ordinated way. Perhaps you could put that in a letter, because I am now even more confused.
I think that there is certainly something around how we co-ordinate existing governance structures at the local and national level to bring all the factors into play in a much more cohesive way than we have been able to do up to now.
