The amendment’s purpose is to provide an equivalent to section 22 in relation to sexual harm prevention orders. Serving a copy of the order assists in the formal record-keeping of the subject’s awareness of the order’s status, which can, among other things, help in any future proceedings relating to a breach of the order.
