It agreed with the findings in fact and conclusion of the Commissioner that Rachael Hamilton MSP and Jackson Carlaw MSP did not breach the Code of Conduct. The Committee took the opportunity to remind all members of the confidentiality provisions at Section 7 of the Code of Conduct.
Section 14 would place the muirburn code on a statutory footing as it confers a duty on Scottish Ministers to prepare a muirburn code, to be reviewed every five years.
