If I can sook up for a minute, I commend the Scottish Government for the role that forestry plays in its new programme for government. It is a jewel in the crown of what Scotland does and I am glad to see it recognised as such.
Do members agree to keep the petition open, write to the responsible minister and invite the Scottish Government to make representations to the UK Government on issues surrounding the tax credit system and the assistance that it might offer the petitioner?

As it has not been reported how much progress has been made on these actions aside from on the Creative Communities programme, SPICe outlined that the extent to which local authorities have engaged with these actions is not clear.
The purpose of this meeting was to take evidence from FSS on a variety of topics related to their current work programme and most recent annual report, including their role in the areas of food safety, Scotland's diet, Brexit, and the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022.
Agenda items held in private were primarily to consider draft reports, approach papers and our work programme. One meeting was held entirely in private.
