To ask the Scottish Executive, with reference to page 21 of A Smart Successful Scotland – Strategic direction to the Enterprise Networks and an enterprise strategy for Scotland, what sources were used to conclude that “over 600,000 people of working age are currently inactive in Scotland.” The figure for the number of people of working age who are inactive in Scotland quoted in Smart Successful Scotland was estimated from the Labour Force Survey (LFS).
