To ask the First Minister what representations the Scottish Government is making to the UK Government regarding its legal ability to provide extra financial assistance to those affected by the so-called bedroom tax.

The system is kind of discriminating against young people who need a wee bit of extra help and support. The young person might not be confident about saying that they need a wee bit of extra support.
I perceive an inclination on the part of HMRC to push all the costs in our direction, even though we are not necessarily totally in control of them. Are you able to try to minimise extra costs? To which extra costs are you referring?
If you find that housing associations are not building on brownfield sites because of contamination and are not building houses for wheelchair users because of the extra costs, will you consider giving them extra money, to ensure that special amenity houses are built for individuals?
The easiest thing to do would be to increase the amount of money in the budget, but we are dealing with public money and every extra pound that we get means that a pound is taken away from another area.
