That is what the 22 events have been about, and we will continue to work on that so that we get the guidance to support the statutory instruments for continuing care and aftercare for young people who are in care and can continue to be in care from their 16th birthday onwards, and who will perhaps be eligible up to their 26th birthday.
Already we have seen the success of Edinburgh''s Hogmanay celebrations, the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country and Winter Run and indoor athletics with the Aviva International Match in Glasgow.
We have been congratulating Scottish Women’s Aid on its 35th birthday. I am sure that an outcome that the organisation would seek would be not to have another 35 years of existence.We need a zero tolerance approach.
However, those issues must still be brought to the fore and, in this debate, we should not only celebrate the hard work of these women but sympathise with the women who have experienced abuse or intimidation.
