Paragraph 10(4) confers a power on the Scottish Ministers to amend the list of orders (in paragraph 10(2)) made by courts in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, breach of which constitutes an offence in Scotland.

The DPM dated 4 November 2025 explains that it would be open to the UK Parliament, Scottish Parliament or Northern Ireland Assembly to amend or repeal and replace the CCEPO regimes in their respective jurisdictions at a future date.

The first two provisions outlined above would come into force 18 months from the date the Act received Royal Assent, or on an earlier date specified in Regulations made by Scottish Ministers.
