To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the First Minister’s statement as reported in The Scotsman on 26 January, that “The Scottish Government has surpassed its pledge to deliver at least 250 new or refurbished schools”, whether it will publish a list of those 251 projects, broken down by (a) local authority area, (b) date that construction commenced, (c) date that the work was completed, (d) date that the outline business case was made and (e) procurement method.

It is unfair that farmers are currently paid based on what they were doing in 2002.The NFUS’s briefing, to which many members have referred, laid out the idea that we should extend the transition until, in effect, 2022-23. Can anyone seriously look their constituents in the eyes and say that CAP support should be paid to a farmer in 2022 based on activity that they carried out in 2002?

It would genuinely be used as part of the assessment bank to inform teachers with regard to what they were doing.

The report mentioned “validated assessments”, and it became clear that many teachers understood that to mean the return of NABs—national assessment bank tests. I hope that, this year, we will see a move away from a reliance on pencil and paper testing, including in exams, and to a more eclectic range of assessment methodologies.
