Ministers and officials last met representatives of the Russian Consulate General at the First Minister’s annual reception for the Consular Corps on 18 February 2014, which the Russian Vice Consul attended.

However, I suspect that what often happens across Scotland—or in some parts of Scotland—is that information is made available through signposting or a soft referral process at a time when mum and dad are numb, not receptive, or unable to engage with such support.
I say that so forcefully because the motion makes the important point that transport is not detached from the rest of public policy but is central to it. I made that point at a reception that I hosted on behalf of the Road Haulage Association.
After the debate, I will be attending a welcome reception at the European population conference, which is taking place in Edinburgh this weekend, to share expertise on demographics, migration, depopulation and more.
