In response to the recommendations from ‘Impact of Scotland’s Developing Young Workforce Strategy on Education’ we are working with partners, including the employer led DYW network, to develop a delivery plan.
Michelle Ballantyne: To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to ensure that funded childcare places are flexible enough to meet parents’ needs.
To inform this session, we agreed to seek the views from the What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth in relation to its role in developing the monitoring and evaluation of both the Levelling Up Fund and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
The process of bidding for funding including the types of project you sought funding for The process of bidding for both the UK Levelling Up and Community Renewal Funds provided an opportunity for the council to submit its own applications in line with the published guidance, and also to work in partnership with neighbouring councils and relevant community partners to develop applications.
Indeed, the Scottish Government has awarded more than £62 million to enable the development of heat network projects in Scotland through our heat network fund and the low-carbon infrastructure transition programme.
Changes might be required for a number of reasons including: • transfers of resources within the Scottish Government • transfers of resources between the Scottish Government and the UK Government • changes in accounting and classification guidelines • the allocation of resources from central funds, including the Contingency Fund and for end-year-flexibility allocations 12.
