Alternative pathways to primary care
Spending on primary care (family health services and community services) accounted for 40% of this cost (£5.4 billion). £2.8 billion was spent on family health services (including GP, pharmaceutical, dental, and ophthalmic services) and £2.6 billion was spent on community services (including AHPs).
