To ask the Scottish Government what plans the organising committee has to include Gaelic as part of the cultural aspect of the Commonwealth Games. The Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme includes 13 projects, confirmed to date, which have either Gaelic content or celebrate Gaelic culture.

The new Caledonian Sleeper franchise is currently being procured with an anticipated start date of 1 April 2015. The franchise procurement programme that Transport Scotland is following is publicly available on Transport Scotland’s website and shows bids are due from shortlisted bidders before the end of December 2013.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-16191 by John Swinney on 24 July 2013, how much of the £20 million for the Business Innovation and Growth Programme is new money. I refer the member to the answer to question S4W-16516 on 2 September 2013.
NHS Education for Scotland have advised that there was no note taken of the discussion between the Healthcare Science Programme Manager at NHS Education for Scotland and the President of the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
Mr Houston is currently undertaking a full induction programme that will see him meet senior Scottish Government officials, board members and senior management within NHS Lothian.
However, action is being taken through Scottish Water’s investment programme and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency’s licensing regime to reduce the number of combined sewer overflows and the numbers of times they overflow.
