We all know sport increases our resilience—well, that has certainly been true for the workforce across Scottish sport. We are optimistic that more positive times are ahead, but we are still looking to secure more of that funding on an on-going basis.
However, the Committee is of the view that delegated powers should not be taken simply to allow the Scottish Ministers flexibility where the policy has not been fully developed in time for them to put specific provisions on the face of the Bill.
Once the funding comes to us, we are duty bound to ensure that, in a sense, it loses its identity; it gets pooled, and we are then able to use it more flexibly.
