My understanding is that the petitioner seems to feel that he has managed to get his points across and the Government seems to feel that the meeting was useful and that it will take on board the points raised by the petitioner, so, unless I have missed anything, I think that that is a result all round and I am not entirely sure that we can do anything else ...

They relate to my membership of various cultural organisations, none of which involves any financial gain for me, although I should mention that I got tickets to the Hebridean Celtic festival in Stornoway, and the National Trust for Scotland found a way of getting me to the remoter parts of my constituency in St Kilda by helicopter.
