As stated in this year’s Programme for Government (published 5 September 2023), in the coming year we will introduce a Housing Bill which will include new duties aimed at the prevention of homelessness.
Last month, Scotland’s food and drink industry penned an open letter to Boris Johnson, warning of “the perilous situation facing our sector with”— at that time— “less than 60 days until the end of the Brexit transition period.”
That is the policy that we will continue to pursue and we will not accept a position where consumers or businesses in Scotland have inferior rights and protections compared with those in other EU countries.
