Report on the welfare of greyhounds used for racing in Scotland SAWC February 2023

Regulations in England do not ensure the welfare of greyhounds outside of tracks, despite greyhounds spending the majority of their time in trainers’ kennels, and instead guidance is issued within the Greyhound Board of Great Britain's voluntary code of practice. The extent to which training is provided to aid compliance with the code is unknown as well as how it is enforced.
