Diligence Review

Any regulations made under this power require the Secretary of State to consult with Scottish Ministers, Welsh Ministers, the Northern Ireland Department and such other persons likely to be affected by the regulations.
In the previous version of the Bill, these powers were extended to Wales and Northern Ireland but not to Scotland.
Longer custodial sentences
The Bill as introduced included provisions seeking to increase the maximum length of custodial sentence in relation to which a conviction may become spent - from the current 30 months to 48 months.
