S5W-27689 Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to a Greenspace Scotland report stating that ground-source heating from urban parks could provide low-carbon energy to heat 15% of homes.
In addition, it will generate economic growth and support businesses, communities and tourism throughout Scotland by improving access to and from the Highlands and Islands.
The Glen Prosen estate came into public ownership in November 2022 and is now managed on behalf of ministers by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS). The seller ran Glen Prosen as a sporting estate – they wound down their business including making the workforce redundant (i.e. five employees).
We will continue to work in partnership with local government to ensure that the people of Scotland continue to receive the high quality public services that they expect and deserve.
Homes for Scotland were sceptical about the additional benefits that could be achieved from a further review of energy standards within building regulations.
