The assessment of a proposed new national park in Galloway and Ayrshire was under consideration during the Committee's Stage 1 inquiry.  During her evidence on the Bill, the Cabinet Secretary stated that the new national park proposal was completely separate to the Bill and that nothing in the Bill would fundamentally alter the proposal.
