As part of this discussion, the Committee agreed to explore the implications of delays in implementing provisions from the following three Acts of the Scottish Parliament: • Female Genital Mutilation (Protection and Guidance) (Scotland) Act 2020 • Domestic Abuse Protection (Scotland) Act 2021 • The Children (Scotland) Act 2020 The Committee is particularly interested in understanding the reasons for these delays and exploring with the Scottish Government its plans for future implementation.
