Those patients simply want their pain to be alleviated so that they can have a life.The response includes a list of the number of patients on waiting lists, which came in from the health boards that the minister contacted. However, the principle that I outlined, which is stated in Scottish Executive guidance, is that if someone will benefit clinically from a digital hearing aid, it should be available. I have been contacted by a 93-year-old man who has not been able to access a digital hearing aid on the NHS despite an assessment that it would benefit him.
