I understand that the Glasgow Disability Alliance has welcomed the announcement that the Scottish Government will re-open the independent living fund, saying that it plays a vital role in Scottish social care in supporting disabled people to live the lives that they want to live.
My second point is one that I made in response to questions from the convener, I think. When people choose to live in Scotland, they know that they are gaining access to a much wider range of public service provision and opportunities than would be the case if they lived in other parts of the United Kingdom.
If the school does not stay open because there is nowhere for the teachers to live, the viability of the island as a place to live is seriously challenged.
