Some of them involve investment that is tied up with the Government’s budget, which involves, for example, £300 million for the heat in buildings programme and investment of nearly £200 million in a range of active and sustainable transport measures.
Will the minister confirm whether she thinks that expenditure is best value for money, and say how much was spent on locum psychiatrists in the past financial year? I would need to get back in writing to the member on the second part of that question.
We are also progressing a range of actions, including those designed to reduce population health harming activities. We will continue to work with our partners to drive improvements in health, tackle poverty and embed health considerations in wider policy making.
That will involve input from public agencies and businesses to ensure that we get the guidance right. I would be happy to involve Danic Lighting in that process.
What figure does the minister hope to get to for the childminding community by 2026-27, given that it is currently at 3,225 and, as previously stated, it was at 6,200 back in December 2012?
We also need to have a fair funding settlement that will not be cut arbitrarily from year to year by Westminster, so that we can create a multi-annual framework. We would, of course, get all of that if Scotland was independent and back in the EU.
Our courts and contact services have a number of obligations, not least through the Equality Act 2010 and the getting it right for every child approach, and they need to acknowledge that disability comes in many forms other than physical disability.
It will be reported on in the coming months. I am actively involved, along with my cabinet secretary and other cabinet secretaries, in looking at that and at how we can give confidence to all energy sectors that the Scottish Government fully supports them and their workers.
