Appeals
The person who is served with the notice may appeal to the sheriff court within 21 days of the date the notice was served. Details of the appeal procedures are included in Schedule 3 of the EPA and the regulations made under that Schedule: the Statutory Nuisance (Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 1996.

Risk management in agriculture
With a futures contract, this trade is an obligation once it has been agreed, meaning the buyer must purchase the asset, and the seller must deliver it at a specific date. With a futures contract, both parties face high risks, as prices could move against them, but companies are okay with this as the commodity needs to be bought or sold anyway.
