We need to consider how we keep everyone safe in our schools. Marie Harrison, representing Children in Scotland and Megan Farr, representing the CYPCS, both also highlighted the difficulties associated with new-build schools for pupils with ASN, particularly in relation to them being large, open spaces, noisy and bright.

Despite this, there was concern among a number of witnesses that not enough support was being given to preventative and early intervention work.
